We have installed and opened our new galler. You can find a link to it on the main site menu to the left hand side or the top and bottom menus.

Each gallery section has a area for members uploads

Our gallery has advanced features like auto resizing and thumbnailing. Which means you don't have to play around with resizing your photos or creating thumbnails for them. Simply upload your picture and the gallery will automatically resize photos larger then 640px in width, to 640 in width and will also make the thumbnail for you.

But, before you can upload your photos, you must ask us for permissions to the sections you want to post your images in. We implemented this in order to make sure proper content was uploaded. Once you have permission for a section, its active as long as you stay a member of this site. For permission, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the sections you want you upload to and your NICKNAME.
Once you have permission, you will find a dropdown link for uploading called "add photos" in the section(s) you requested.

Finally, this has given us the ability to host images, if you want to place them in the messages of your forum posts.

Here's a quick tutorial on how to do this:

1) First, you must upload a image to the gallery.

2) Once you have finished uploading, right click on the image you want to post on this forum and select properties. You should now be presented with information on the images including its URL ( something like : www.woodworkweb.com/albums/album01/5_06853b.jpg ) . Copy this URL.

3) When write your post, insert the Image tags and place your image url between them, like below:

Hard to decide which sections to pick, I kind of have a misc collection of different types of photos.. big to small, some with veil some without, some boletes and a bunch of other stuff.

Another option for pics is to host them yourself. There are lots of sites on the 'net that offer free hosting services, one of them being walagata.com and I think imageshack.com. There's a limit of course to how much you get for free and then you have to pay. If you do a google on image hosting sites, you'll come up with a bunch.

I was on another message board under this software, and, yes, we did run out of space and kept getting the debug error. I'm not trying to pop admin's bubble here and discourage pic posting but just suggesting other free sites that won't impact this board and will allow it to flourish. Please feel free to delete my post if you think it goes against what you are trying to provide at this site. It is not my intent at all, but will certainly respect your choice.

Doesn't matter to me were the pics are hosted. The problem with many Free images hosting services you find, is they don't allow remote linking, so you won't be able to display the pics directly in your posts, but rather will have to link to them.

Another option that most people don't know about is that most ISP's provide free web hosting space with there internet access accounts.
