I found this weird mushroom in an old growth forest in northern Oregon the other day that looked like it had lips on the top of its cap. It is all brown and about 4 cm across, has a stem about .7 cm thick and is probably 5 or 6 cm long. The cap looks a little scaly but i'm not sure if that is the right word. If anyone could even give me a good guess as to what it might be, it would be helpful. Please ask if more specific information is needed. Thanks.

Is it a gilled mushroom, or does it have some other sort of surface beneath the cap?
A spore print and more detailed description would probably be helpful in this case. I can't really see identification with only the info you provided - sorry we need a bit more.
