Actually they were few and far between.
I missed the spring season since I have just started I covered a lot of ground over 6 hours to find those few.Could you tell me if any others besides the Boletes in those pictures were edible?
I was going to try the lobster mushrooms but read there was a chance they may be poison.
I'm also looking to find morels but I'm not sure where or when to look in manitoba

hmmm...been trying to view your pictures again, but all I get is broken images I can tell you that the season for morels is over....they are a spring mushroom that grow best in areas of forest fires the year before. Ya, there is a possibiliy of getting yourself in trouble with lobster mushrooms, best you bring them to a pro before you eat...although the ones in you pics looked ok. You might wanna try looking Shaggy Mane's - Coprinus comatus...they are always around in the fall...taste good and are easy to identify....you can find more info by looking them up in my mushroom directory fungusfun.com/mushrooms/modules.php?...ngusfun.com/mushdir/

Well I went out today again and I found all sorts of mushrooms.
I found a great spot for getting all sorts of mushrooms!
There are Bolets like crazy I could fill a shopping cart with them!and lots of others I haven't identified yet.
Some of these mushrooms are almost a foot across!
I followed a rabbit trail into the bush in Cresent drive park in Winnipeg Manitoba.
I will post again with pictures, I forgot my camera today since I was just going to see if there might be mushrooms in that park, I didn't expect to find so many!
we recently had very heavy rains and I will try again in a few days.
the Boletts were too soggy to pick.
