Would anyone be interested in trading Gourmet mushroom strains?
I have a rather nice Enokie I isolated that keeps trying to get out of it's petri dish, some wild shaggy mane and a few others.
I would really like to get my hands on a Lepista Nuda(Wood Blewit)

I can't help you out with the Lepista, but I have a couple wild prints of H. capnoides. I'd love an enokie wedge, or print.

Disregard my request for the Enoki, I found fresh ones for sale at the supermarket the other day. I'll look for a bunch with a solid enough base to get some clean tissue out of the middle to start my culture.

split the mushroom (not cut) and take a piece from the part where the cap meets the stem...not the base.

it can be from the stem too...it's just that they are so damn thin and leggy.

The caps are so tiny too, some of the ones I saw at the market had bigger caps than others. I guess I'll just try to find whatever looks the meatiest, cap or base. I just plated some oyster tissue yesterday, I have to make more agar before I work with the enokis.
