I uploaded a some photos, and I will post them here some time soon for discussion. I'm still in the process of trying to pick out some good photos.

Some of them are out of focus or have bad lighting. I just got a new camera in July, so it took a couple times before i could figure out how to get the cam to take good closeup (macro) pics.

Sweet pics C....esp like the Old Man of the Woods......never seen that one before.

As for taking pics...a mini tripod should help you out, when doing close up macro's...hard to get a sharp marco without one.

You are right about that. Sometimes i have to struggle to get my hands to stay steady enough for a good pic. I was thinking of trying to make my own tripod.. I'm not sure what the best type would be for mushroom photos. I would guess something pretty small.

The problem is, it takes about 2 seconds from the time i press the button to the time it actually takes the pic. So that makes it a little harder also.

Well here is a photo that i took today, I believe that these are the deadly poisonous Destroying Angels (Aminitas). That would be just a guess though, I didnt have much time to look into them.

Nice pic C.....ya, looks like destroying angels to me too.

As far as tripods go...I use one similar to this:

Nice and small, light and works great from both macro and normal shot.....they are rather cheap as far as tripod go too.

I too have the problems with the 'hand jitters' but I will hopefully correct this when I get hold of a mini tripod.

And I have found yet even more Aminitas!

Any clue as to the species on this one? I was thinking it was a death cap but it is missing the large membranous volva.

I also found some really awesome looking hygrophorus mushrooms. The caps on them were multi-colored in greens, purples, blues, and reds. It really is an awesome looking mushroom. They are really slimey, so much that they are difficult to hold without them slipping out of my hands. Also, they are pretty tiny. It is getting kind of dark, so i cant really take any good pics under the sun, so ill try a crappy pic indoors later mabie.

Hard to tell from the pic, but you could have a panther cap or Cleft-foot Amanita there.

check this one out.. The latest aminita type that i have found. We get a lot of species of aminitas here.

I also got some bolete photos. The genus of these are Suillus and the species is probably Americanus.
