A kid that comes into the coffee shop here is a glass blower. I mentioned the bead and he said he they are easy to make. He could probably sell them to me for a couple of bucks each. I am going to ask him if he could possably make them look like spacific mushrooms a little more.
Maybe a pretty Amanita or something. Maybe even a nice paperweight too.
If he does make them really cheap for me, I will keep you all informed.

I love the colours in that bead, certainly an interesting thing to get hold of- there maybe a little market for them.

I was at a friends place a year or so ago & there was a girl there that made beaded jewellery. She had some glass beads with her made by a glassblower she knows. Some of the beads had a mushroom in them, & some had interesting patterns. I paid $10 for the bead pictured, I thought it was the coolest looking of the bunch. There were a couple others that were exceptionally nice too, it was a tough choice.
Tricky, find out more from that glassblower at the coffee shop. I don't know much about glassblowing, but anything hand made isn't cheap. Maybe there's a trick & once you're set up you can bang them out quick. There was a lot if detail, & several colours in the beads I saw, I'll try & get some more detailed shots of the "mycellium" in my bead.

Very nice, I've had a couple pendants like that over the years and I always seem to lose them

That is a fine example of the Art Form. What can be done with glass always amazes me. The colour and the flow....life

Ok, The glass blower guy is working on some for me. I think he said he was going to do a dozen or twenty or so. I will let you know when I get them. He was going to wait untill he bought more oxygen and make a bunch of stuff. I asked him if he could make a cool paperweight or something also.
Just thought I would keep everyone updated.
