Hi all,
Went to Kew Gardens on Saturday with my mycology but didn't find as many species as expected. There were, however a few interesting bits n bob such as a few Earthstars- 3 species in total- Geastrum Coronatum, G. Floriforme and G. Triplex. A few species of Birds nest fungus was also found- on one bed, it was literally littered with Cyathus Olla. Abundent Mycena Flavoalba was also noticed.

One disappointment was Clathrus Archeri- eggs of this species was found but unfortunately, no fruitbodies(maybe next year!) One of the highlights was the sulphur yellow Leucocoprinus Birnbaumii which was found in the princess of wales conservatory. I will be going back next year to see if there are any surprises. I may post some pics soon.

Mark
All fungi are edible, some only once!
