It is -11C here today and my dang water froze. But I got to use the outhouse and noticed a frozen Clitocybe lightly dusted in snow under the eaves of the outhouse. Gave me something to ponder as I lack any current reading material out there these days...
Last wild mushrooms I picked were Blewitts, also curiously growing near the outhouse. The last ones I picked were in early November, and they had just frozen. Still cooked up nice though. Those and the yellowfeet usually spell the end of our season around here.
