I hope someone can other some advice about a problem I'm having. I have lots of awesome looking pure strain mycilium on plates and I've used it several times now to innoculate jars or grain - There was a burst of colonization within 2-3 days, then after 5-6 days I shook (gently rolled) the jars and they've just shut down - What the hell? This is frustrating. I've been doing this for about 10 years, just started up again and have never had this problem. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.

Hello NCMushman Smile

a) the culture you are using could be old. Have you stored in fridge at 4°C?

b) of what species are we speaking?

c) yes i quote Kadakuda, the weather could be cold

d) are you sure didn't you change anything of the process?
